After you download the zip folder and drag the internal folder outside of the zipped one, you go to “File” and then “Open” in your software and open up the index.html file

Wow! This was a great video. A friend of mine has been pushing me to learn CSS, but I thought it was too complicated. Thanks to your video, I see it’s not that difficult. Looks like I have something to work on now. Thanks Lisa!!

I adore this tutorial. It covers the basics needed to create and edit a webpage/website. Luckily, I knew a bit of HTML before I started, so that helped alot.
Look forward to seeing further video tutorials!
Thanks, Fizsparky

Try opening the style.css file in Notepad or another text editor. Continue to edit the index.html file in Komposer. Have you ever tried Nvu? It’s free. That may handle CSS better.

Thanks Lisa, very helpful (again!).
I have a question though. When I try to open stylesheet with Komposer, it’s telling me “it’s not an html file” so it doesn’t work.
What should I do?
Thanks again! Valentina

True that. Great video btw, i used w3 online tutorials to learn all this but it got really tedious at times so i would take breaks of 2-4 weeks before learning more

Good point, but if you download the template it’s a good way to learn both. I’ve gotten lots of good feedback from beginners using this template so that’s why I provided it. It’s also good for those who already know HTML and want to go to the next level.

Begginers should be learning HTML before going into CSS.
