I have been told that you can use html, to list on ebay. This way you can add photos without getting charged for them?
I wondered if anyone can tell me how to create a listing and add pictures without the charge.
I have only ever used the standard listing and paid a fortune on photos!
Please help!!!!

I know the 1st photo is free, but if you use html you can add loads for no charge. I just need to know how to put my photos onto the description.

You don’t anymore.
Ebay changed the Sell Your Item page so you would have to pay for pictures beyond the first one. Since pictures sell the item, they have sellers over the barrel, paying 15 cents for each additional picture.

You can use an HTML editor like Cute HTML to write your descriptions in HTML and then paste them into your eBay listing. Look up Cute HTML using your search engine. There are also other similar programs to help with writing HTML and you can use them in the same way.

You will have to select add own html to your listing.

Yes, you can add as many photos as you like to your listing for free.
It helps if you’re familiar with at least a bit of basic HTML, but even if you aren’t you can still give it a try – none of the following is as scary as it looks!
Firstly, you need to have your pictures hosted – quite a lot of UK ebayers use photobucket, but there are others. You upload your photos to the ‘host’, which generates a URL.
Once you have that, you can add it to the description you write for your item and the picture will appear exactly where you want it in the text.
You can either write your description completely in HTML (if you’re happy to do that), or you can write it using the ‘Standard’ tab – the ‘normal’ way to do it – then switch to the HTML view and insert your pictures.
If you decide you want to give it a try and want a bit more help with it all, you can ask here
which is the Photos and HTML board in the UK eBay Answer Centre – a member-to-member help forum, much like this.
