I met Grady Matthews before at a pool hall in Holland, MI. He was putting on an exhibition there and I got to warm up with him.

I’m sure he is. He just carries himself in the way of a street hustler as opposed to a professional player. Nothing wrong with that, of course. To the untrained eye, aka a sucker, he may appear not to know what he’s doing. To someone such as myself, who has seen many hustlers in my day, I’d spot him right away as someone I’d want to play, but straight up, not as a sucker bet. Peace.

In most of the bank pool matches, it is cue ball foul only. If a player accidentally moved a ball, the ref will move it back to its original position or as closed to its original position. Unless otherwise stated prior like in professional 9 ball tournaments where touching of any ball is a foul.

Don’t judge the book by its cover. He is actually a very nice guy.

Gotta love Ike 14 minutes in, just close enough to a mike to hear it. And Scott right after, “We’re gonna let that one go.”
😛

Fast-forward to 46:00 to see the shot of the game: a crazy reversing quadruple bank. The 22 shots in a row he makes before it are pretty incredible, too!

Are these guys the best at bank pool in terms of location? Is there any international competition in bank pool or is this the only one that is well-known throughout the world?

you can fast forward by clicking on the cursor. it’s also useful if the video freezes up to fast forward.

You are absolutely right! They cutted pieces of the match not wanted to be seen. it is like “look how good they are, they never miss…” Sure they were playing with those two balls for a half an hour without putting anyone, so they decided to cut..
By the way, standard 9ball/8ball are much better

Ike looks more like a hustler than anything else. lol. Certainly not someone you’d want to cross cues with in a pool hall.
