do i have to know html to use a program like front page. does front page automatically turn regular text into html? some web hosts offer building a site by just typing in the content without having to know html. will that content be able to be found by search engines even though it is not in html, even though i would submit it to search engines and directories. If i want to generate free traffic wouldnt any content that i submit have to be in html for search engines to find?

Front page will translate what you type in, into HTML. There are more efficiant apps to do this (ie Dreamweaver). It is the same with service providers. What you type in is translated to HTML.
If you submit it to a search engine it will be able to be viewed

If you want you website to be awsome learn scripting, but if you just want a regular website, then i don’t really know how to help you.

I used to build my site. About 10 bucks a month. You just have to type in what you want and web.com automatically creates the html code. Yes, html makes it possible for search engines to target key words and phrases in your site, but these days top sites like google and yahoo care more about content…content is king. If your site is about health for example, write a very good article on obesity in america.
