Kompozer is good (www.kompozer.net)–it will easily let you edit the html, or you can simply enter in your text and graphics in the normal view and let it do all the work. It is good for allowing you to learn at your own pace–not a vicious learning curve. Its freeware.
EDIT: NVU is no longer maintained–Kompozer is based on NVU source code, but it is now an active project.
I’m not sure about your background but I have used Dreamweaver for years. It is fairly easy to use and learn. The best part is that it does allow for easily switching between graphical and code editing. You can download a free trial from Adobe (they own macromedia). The trial is fully functional during the trial period too. It is a large download but if you decide to buy it all you need to do is register it.
