What is a CSS editor in freewebs ? How is a CSS editor enabled template different than a normal template ?

In the css editor enabled template in freewebs,the main options are appearing in a horizontal line on top of the page which i do not like.
I want them to appear vertically on the left side of the page.
Is there any benefit of the css editor?
If not then i will swithc to another template.

a css editor allows you to alter your freewebs website with different HTML links, layouts, etc.
Similar to how myspace is run
