hmmm. If he can do it every time as you have implied here he would be playing professional. No player on earth can do it every time. But there’s always someone that knows someone that can do it. Whatever floats your boat.

I sunk the 9 three times in a row today, couldn’t believe I made it twice & then came the 3rd!

aye =) pocketing the 9 ball is quite the feat. I recently played my father in a race to 9 and during that set we played 15 racks and i slammed the 9 ball in twice on the break

Idk, i think i prefer Paez to immonen… he just comes across as more professional, putting aside the jumping after each shot… its not that huge of a deal other than it may cause him to miss cue at some point

How about 22.58 (and the even worse 23.20)? Thank God for the Rack Babe, or I’d’ve never been able to stay awake through this thing.

Just about the worst match I’ve ever seen at this level. Filled with blunders and oversights. Mika’s sparkling 3-cushion bank on the 4 was the only step up from the general torpor. Hard to believe that was Immonen out there.

29.09 is urrghh

Oh and that chick who racks the balls…damn.
She can rack my balls anytime!

Paez has a *terrible* style.
He’s still a good player, but it’s infuriating to watch him jump up after every shot
July 23rd, 2007 at 12:19 pm
I personaly know a person that can pot the 9 on the breaking shot
July 24th, 2007 at 7:08 am
i mean wouldn’t jump up so much
July 25th, 2007 at 3:13 am
If paez would jump up so much when he shoots he would be a hell of alot better

Snooker is a harder game than standard 8-ball i dont care what any of you say, full stop. 9-ball is also harder than 8-ball because with 9-ball you only have one option as to which ball you go for, next time yous are all playing pool somewhere play a couple of games of 9-ball and youll soon see what i mean.

I’m usually one to argue/etc… but there’s no point when you put it the way you did.

lol thanks. at least someone understands.

Hmmm, hadn’t looked at it like that before.
You make good sense.

you can’t compare pool an snooker in terms of difficulty. there’re way too many variables. like the cloth for one thing. cloth on a snooker table changes the effects of english depending on which direction you hit the cue ball. and the position plays are usually pretty straight forward due to the respotting of the ‘coloured’ balls. pool is more random in terms of position play. each to their own, i say. like comparing apples and oranges.

Snooker is 10x more difficult than ANY Pool game.
I play Pool and choose Pool MAINLY because it’s less difficult and I know that I’ll be able to get a hold on the sport – you have to be magical in order to play well at Snooker.
That game stomps a mudhole in Pools’ ass in terms of difficulty – soddy, pool lovas.

Snooker isint for fagots! it’s for Pussies! ha
August 8th, 2007 at 8:33 am
Ha, i dont know what im talking about? Okay..yeah
August 11th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
how can you possibly justify this? because immonen has better technique he plays textbook? he doesn’t feel the game? you dont know what youre talking about.

I disagree. I have played both snooker and pocket billiards and I would say that players at their level wouldn’t have much difficulty making the transition. Snooker may pose some challenges, but you must remember that half of the shots taken are from the same spot– this of course makes them easier to practice.
