   Register with technorati.com
   Google the topic of your website. Then leave comments about the other websites you find. Ask them to link to yours and you link to theirs. squidoo.com is a particularly good place to start your search for similar websites.
   Answer questions here on YA that relate to your website topic and IF relevant mention your site in your answer.
   Put a link to your website in your profile here at YA
   Send an Email to all of your friends and family about your website and ask them to tell all of their friends about it.
   Make the content of your site interesting.
   Compare your site (look and content) to other sites with a similar topic.
   Either have business cards printed with your URL and a one line description of your site or make your own from brightly colored paper. Carry them with you everywhere you go and give them to people you meet.
   Make other sites and link your two sites together. Just make sure that they are not at the same place. For instance, I have one at blogger.com one at googlepages.com and two at squidoo.com.
   Register your site with stumbleupon.com

   Ask this same question in the adsense help forum, but be sure to name your site so people can check it out. Then they will be able to give you better, more specific feed back.

   Unless your website has like 100 pages or something and lots of visitors, its hard to promote and actually make money from petty little adsense clicks. They dont really add up unless you are wikipedia or yahoo and have a huge website like that to be honest. You are better off putting affiliate links on your site. For a free website builder, check out. For free instructions As far as traffic, it depends on what kind of site it is. If you are selling something, advertise it on craigslist or auction sites or lycos classified. If not, you can make youtube videos using windows movie maker (its free) and then put a link next to the video and also put a banner that goes across the screen with your site name on it. But seriously, I think you should forget about adsense unless you are doing arbitrage or something, its up to you but I think affiliate banners and links pay much better than a dinky little .20 cents that adsense might pay. You might as well buy domains and park them if thats the kind of money you are after. At least with domains you can make a portfolio and park them and make money parking until you sell them and maybe make a good profit selling em. I mean dont get me wrong, you can make money from adsense and its easy money, but its not quite as easy as 100 other ways to make money online. Ive done just about everything and adsense is like a minimum wage job compared to other ways of making money if the internet was the real world. I just read marqueens answer, she has some great tips.

   If you are serious about creating income from Adsense, using a Free Website host probably won’t get you what you need. You need something that looks professional and most free websites have ads already on them to pay the host.

   You need a regular following of people and tons of high quality information on something that you know and something that is in demand and people value. The way to find that out is to do keyword research, choose a site concept and write hundreds of pages and get hundreds of backlinks. It does take some time but once you get the traffic built you will have residual income for awhile as long as google and the web continue.

   I make about half my income from adsense. I learned how to get traffic and create keyword focused pages etc by using Site Build it! Now I am teaching others to do the same.
