mrjorgito asked:
Say, my website is a social network filled with forums and blogs on a wide range of topics: from technology to relationships
Say, I have 1000 visits on a daily basis: Is there a way/formula to predict what percentage of the visitors would click on the ads displayed by google Adsense?
Thank you very much!

You have to estimate this for yourself. Track your campaign for couple of days. It is said that about 10 percent click on ads, but it depends on your ads, your niche, etc.
Download adsense logger – will help you a lot to see where your visitors click and get more detailed information and tips.
It is free here, under freebies

It’s really hard to determine what users click and what they don’t click. Think about it … each ad has a different price value they pay for Google. One ad if a user clicks it I get 10 cents while another click I would receive 70 cents … there is really no way to determine the amount of money you get in one day but you can always estimate but even that you really can’t tell either.

Given that you have a social oriented website you won’t have a good CTR, maybe something about 2-3%
You should consider adding affiliate programs and banners
