How do I control what adverts come through my google adsense?

Ken asked:
I just set up adsense, i’ve done it before and it had the wrong kind of stuff coming through for a while until it picked up on my meta tags and the relevant stuff came through. I’m just wondering if theres a way to speed up the process, or a way in the adsense control panel to specify what kind of products or sites to advertise?

not really, you can specify site you don’t want to show up but i never had much luck with that.
Make sure you use relevent key words throughout your site. Place a comment about your site at the top and bottom.
example: If you have a blog about traveling.
Place at the top and bottom of your page: Internet traveling blog
It should only take a day or two for Google to start picking relevant adds for you.
*Note: I have much better luck using Google packs

You can tell google not to display ads from specific sites and you can tell google which portions of your page to index for deciding which ads are appropriate for the page. You can also specify the types of ads (text, video, etc.). You can not specifically choose which ads are displayed.
Adsense looks at the content of the page and tries to put up ads related to that content. So if you want ads for air conditioning, your content should be about air conditioners.
