The Camera Flash Experiment
From http://www.ImprovEverywhere.com, 700 agents lined the length of the Brooklyn Bridge a week before its 125th birthday. In the rain and cold we created a wave of camera flashes across the bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan.

It would have been a lot better if they recuited a lot more people just enough to fill all the bridge from end to end and then there would be two helicopters, one looking from above and then then the second one going from one end to the other and the people would flash when they have the helicopter right in front of them….That would be a great spectacle…i think…Of course it would be a traffic mess but 125th birthday it only once ina lifetime right??!!! 😀

What was the point of this exactly? It’s not really much of a visual spectacle.

Oh. Whoops. Thought they were in front of the cars. I was imagining driving across with a line of people to your left constantly flashing their cameras. Nevermind. Grand Central was my fav as well. Next to the jumper and the food court musical.

It wouldn’t have caused an accident since they were taking pictures in the direction of the water, not the cars. The cars probably couldn’t even see it, and it’s New York, who’s not used to the flicker of a camera flash there? But I do agree, this one wasn’t the best, too bad it didn’t work. My favorite is the frozen Grand Central Station.

I think perhaps I would have been annoyed on that one driving across that bridge. Perhaps even had caused an accident. I love improv everywhere, but this one wasn’t as great. Maybe actually being there in person would have been a lot better than the video suggests.

from the bridge it looks like a gun fight!
lol

Too bad it didn’t work. Not enough people perhaps. A colored light bulb by each would have been better.

really nice! but maybe some people didn’t notice those
April 5th, 2007 at 4:48 pm

connerl92, do you realize that your comment is basically saying to not share your opinion unless it is positive, but because your comment is negative it argues against its own existence?

Wow, and they didn’t call you terrorists and think they were bombs? Must be far enough away from Boston.
